Music
Hazelridge School has a vibrant music program, rooted in the making, creating, connecting, and responding to music. Opportunity is everywhere in our music class! The children all try xylophones, non-pitched instruments, ukulele, guitar, piano, violin, cello and recorder by the time they leave Hazelridge. We learn to move to music, sing together, learn note names, follow a conductor, write our own rhythms and melodies. The whole school performs at assemblies, farewells, talent shows, and a Christmas Musical! Music can bring us joy and comfort, motivate us and help us relax. It has the power to transport us back in time, to calm worried minds or boost our moods. Music should move us, inspire, and comfort us.
